Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- ¾ cup sauce (ranch, garlic herb, or Alfredo)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2–3 dill pickles, thinly sliced
- Optional toppings: crumbled bacon, sliced red onions, jalapeños, fresh dill
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). If using store-bought dough, let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Prepare toppings: slice pickles, grate cheese, and gather other desired toppings.
- Lightly flour a work surface and roll out pizza dough to your desired thickness.
- Transfer dough to a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
- Arrange pickle slices evenly over the cheese.
- Add any other desired toppings.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for a few minutes before adding toppings.
- Pat pickles dry with a paper towel before adding to prevent a soggy crust.
- Experiment with different types of pickles and sauces for unique flavor combinations.
- Add a sprinkle of garlic powder or dried dill to the sauce for an extra layer of flavor.
